In the event of a return, we lose the shipping to you, and you lose the shipping back to us. We both lose. Here we offer some useful troubleshooting tips to see if we can save the losses:

Troubleshooting Tips for Magnetic Products

Are you missing a magnet?  Please look carefully at the back of the product. If you see an empty steel cup, you might be missing a magnet. We try to check every product for missing magnets, but once in a while, we forget, and a defective unit escapes the warehouse. Rarely, a magnet will be pulled out by contact with another magnet. If allowed to clash together, the magnets may shatter; please watch your fingers when you test the magnets.

Is your refrigerator bowed in or out? Some refrigerators are not as flat as they look. If both magnets are not making contact, try another location. Thicker metal makes for better attraction. In some appliances the door will have better metal than the sides. Different appliance brands will have different maximum capacity results.

Is your refrigerator stainless steel? Occasionally, people do not read into the website and / or do not know they have a stainless steel refrigerator. Stainless steel has a low iron / high nickel content, and therefore does not attract magnets. Magnets only stick to ferrous metals (containing iron): magnets will not stick to aluminum, copper, or stainless steel. 

Many stainless steel refrigerators have regular steel painted sides. If your fridge is not totally built in cabinets, your magnets might fit there. 

Is your refrigerator painted with a thick vinyl / plastic type coating? In this case, tests show a lesser attraction than with ordinary paint. Weight capacity may be lowered, please test your load before releasing the product completely. Test in different locations near reinforcing metal, or on different appliances.

Do you want to mount the MagnaRack® product to a wooden surface?  Locate the steel washers and attach them where you want the magnets to connect. (metallic adapters - countersunk washers and screws to fit, for attaching the magnets to a wood cabinet, desk, or wall surface.)

If your refrigerator does not work, have you tried another location? In the laundryroom or the garage you might find another appliance or metallic surface to place your magnetic product. Washers, dryers, dehumidifiers, electric panel boxes. microwave ovens, file cabinets, metal cabinets, safes, shelving, tool boxes, and buildings are all possible places to stick up a MagnaRack® product.

Have you thought of your friends and family? If you really can't find any place to use your MagnaRack® product,  is there someone close to you that can use some help organizing things? Think what a nice gift this product would be for some special occasion for someone you know.
